Andrea's Creationz began as a small business based & inspired by the Sea in South West Victoria, Australia.

Andrea dedicated herself to making beautiful, happy and uniquely styled gifting pieces which combine both the cute and quirky together with functionality.

Andrea believes that using hand-made resources and skill brings a warmth and energy to the art works and in turn the home that cannot be found in industrially produced pots. Her work is strongly influenced by the Coastal Countryside scenery, her travels locally, abroad to NZ, and the time she spends working in a favoured space, a pottery studio in Woodford. Her glazes mirror the colours of serenity combined with a touch of the lush green and seaside landscapes, from the blues and greens of the sea to the copper and autumnal hues found in the clay embedded cliffs.

When she doesn't teach art, Andrea creates, having been an Artist for over 30 years. She has found an enjoyment from forming her clay works which she likes to describe as her 'gingerbread-man-like' creations. Where during the creation process they seem to her to take on their own life not unlike the old fable. This occurs when combining her favourite inspirations and ideas from nature with her love of the tactile properties that the clay medium offers. The 'magic' seems to happen throughout from conception of the idea, to the clay forming, then to glazing & to the final oven firing processes. The end result is a finished form that has been tirelessly pieced together by hand with love and attention to detail, but still allowing room for its organic forms and flow to emerge. Then its ready to buy, a creation that has taken on a new life to be truly cherished....  :)
